Recently, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, in particular, Disney Nature- – the studio that brought you EARTH, sent me, The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos, for review.
At my house, this becomes a family affair, as my grandchildren, love viewing these incredible films.
Watch This!
In The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos, the great mysteries of their life journey, unfolds in a heartwarming story of survival. The Crimson Wing, explores the spectacular lives of a million crimson‐winged flamingos, offering a glimpse, of their rare journey.
We were surprised to learn, that Flamingos, can live for 40 years! I’d have never guessed that. While, the film is appropriate for families of all ages, and is rated G, you may want to prepare your young children, that Nature’s life cycle, isn’t always fair. As it is in many species, only the strong survive.
This film showcases a dramatic, never before‐filmed backdrop. In a place like no other on the planet, the regal birds wing to another world, at the desolate Lake Natron, in northern Tanzania. Here, in an inspiring and colorful story of majesty and beauty, a million flamingos gather yearly, to continue the circle of life. The story, is as amazing , as it is beautiful.
