Last week, BP placed a containment cap on the broken oil rig. Now, they are claiming that they have collected more than 42,000 barrels of crude oil. An expert spoke with the New York Times, and said that he not only disagrees with that statement, but believes that the BP containment cap, has made the oil spill worse. It does seem that way. With all that is going on in the world, I think it’s time for my Relaxation Wednesday. I know, I need to take a little break from the routine, so take a few minutes, and join me! 🙂
We are NOW in day number 41, of the worst oil spill in U.S.History.
I live in Washington State. We are currently supplying shrimp, for a lot of the restaurants down in the Gulf Coast region, at this time. While, it is good for us, economically speaking, the beaches, tourism and wildlife, AND entire way of life, for generations to come, are being effected, in the entire Gulf Coast region.
This, whole episode makes me want to cry. The eco-systems, in the Gulf of Mexico, are special and fragile, in themselves. It’s a sin, that they (BP), are just acting like there is a million tomorrows, to get this mess fixed, and cleaned up! Never-mind, the fact that, 11 people died!
