A Lovely Greenscape!

Greenscape Capital Group, increases the environmental sustainability and social responsibility, of our built environment, through the development of sustainable facilities, and the energy retrofitting of existing commercial facilities.  This post is in reference to, the new Canopy Parking facility, at Denver International Airport (DIA).

When Green Turns Black

Both Oregon and Washington, have a reputation, of being and promoting the “green lifestyle.” Portland, Oregon, takes pride in their mass transit program, and continually proves, that large cities, can reduce their carbon footprints. That all changed recently, and the green future, has taken a step back into the past.  It now appears, black as coal.

Cowlitz County,Washington, across the the Columbia River from, Portland,Oregon, has approved construction, of a coal export terminal. The facility, will export millions of tons, of U.S. coal to Asia, well in particular, China, yearly. Read the rest of this entry »

Green Endings

It is something we all have to do someday, – I’m talking about, we all have to die.  We hate to talk about it, much less, plan and prepare for it. In this economy, it’s hard to except the fact, that dying costs thousands of dollars. We wouldn’t want to take out a personal loan, just to afford to bury a loved one, but that, often times is the case.

The $11 billion, funeral industry has been looking at, what can be done to appeal to those, who want to go green and save green, when the end of life comes.  While, this is an industry that is slow to change, there are many cemeteries and funeral homes, that are now accommodating the desire, for green burials.
