Amazing Sand Art!
20 CommentsI am quite fascinated with Sand Art. This is the most amazing story, set to sand, I have ever seen. The Sand Animation of Kseniya Simonova, was this years winner in August, 2009, of Ukraine’s Got Talent.
She effectively tells the story, of the Nazi invasion of the Ukraine during WWII. The population there, was almost obliterated, with only one in four surviving. This was a most moving, and emotional performance, for many in the audience, who were brought to tears. It is, after all, their homeland. I hope you also find this, quite inspirational to see such an extraordinary talent. I’m sure you will agree!

@A. @ A Changing Life,
I’m glad you agree that she is very talented. I’m sure we will be seeing much more of her.
And Yes, it is a topic that we don’t hear about. This young woman might have changed that!

@ [ v ],
Yes, sand is quite a different medium. I think, most artists do prefer their own work, to some degree.
You do have the advantage, of always being able to look at it, and admire the fact that you did that!

@ Theresa Cahill,
Yes, although she is too young to have lived it, I’m sure she must have heard accounts from relatives who survived. Still, it is amazing what she created, and put to such fitting music, in a little better than 8 minutes!

Wow that truly is amazing. Oh to have that much talent.
