@ Diane Scott,

Oh, I agree with you on this. Sometimes, I can't help but feel, perhaps autism is over diagnosed, so that scientists and pharmaceutical companies, have something to study and experiment with. I know that sounds awful, but no wonder parents are so outraged in many areas of the topic. It is hard to know who to trust and believe.

I just cannot help feeling that many of these diseases are environmental - or population growth out of control or something ordinary while they (scientists and pharmaceutical companies) mess around in their labs. Don't get me wrong, I think that's important, but for heaven's sake by now they should have a cure for SOMETHING don't you think?????

Hi Cady,

You are right..this is a very hot topic. Science does say there is no connection. Perhaps, the bottom line is how individual we are. Perhaps some children, just can't handle the schedule of so many vaccines before age five. If only there were answers we could all trust and believe in! :)

this is such a hot topic and people on both sides have such strong feelings. my brother and sister-in-law refuse to vaccinate their son because they think vaccines cause autism. i plan to vaccinate my child. i have yet to see proof that vaccines cause autism, and mothers of autistic children in my area have been interviewed on my radio station and have said that vaccines don't cause autism and that parents are stupid if they don't vaccinate their children. and, if vaccines did cause autism, i'd rather my child run the risk of getting autism rather than polio or some of the other horrible diseases.
