Are You Eco-Anxious?
Filed under: Global Warming, Health; Tagged as: anxiety, better tomorrow, depression, despair, different perspectives, doom and gloom, eco- environment, fear, little bit4 CommentsIn today’s world of doom and gloom, there is now a new condition called eco-anxiety, that requires therapy for some. The condition causes fear, depression, and despair about the condition of our environment. Perhaps in some ways it is too late to make a difference. But to me, there is not any reason to give up trying to make changes. Every little bit helps. Here are two different perspectives on this topic that I found to be great reading. Hope you enjoy. Working toward a better tomorrow.

Interesting links you supplied. They have Hug-A-Tree events in this area in the summer.

As one of the people interviewed for the articles related to this topic, I would like to clarify that feeling anxious about environmental changes and their effects on our econnomy and our world is not a mental disorder, but a normal reaction to concerning circumstances. As you say, the antecdote to anxiety is action. Doing what we can to live responsibly and care for ourselves and those we love, for the Lord helps those who help themselves. Wow! What an interesting topic. I was thinking about the impact this has on kids, so I’m glad it was discussed in the links you provided.
It’s like the story about the fishes I suppose. A difference is made in the lives of each little fish thrown back in the water. In our own ways, each of us can make a bit of difference.Tray
